Asymmetrical
One boob is bigger than the other
What does "Asymmetrical" mean?
One boob is noticeably bigger than the other, on some occasions, this can be 2-3 cup sizes, which is completely normal. Nobody is the same, all bodies are different and unique.
What Bras are best for an asymmetrical bust?
Finding what bra style is good for different sized boobs can be a real gamechanger, and takes the stress out of dressing yourself everyday. You want to opt for a bra with a stretch lace top cup, such as the Allure Full Cup bra from Panache, or a moulded t-shirt bra style, such as the Idol Balcony T-shirt bra from Freya. Top tip: always fit the bra to your bigger boob. It's easier to disguise the smaller one.
• Full Cup Bra with stretch
• Moulded T-Shirt Bra
Styles to Avoid
The aim of the game is to make the size difference as subtle as possible, and this can be achieved with most styles, it may just take some trial and error to find what suits your best, and what you're most comfortable in. Avoid rigid cups.
East-West
Wide set breasts that point outwards
What does "East-West" mean?
If you have wide set breasts that point sideways (east to west), then you're most likely looking to bring the girls together, front and centre.
What Bras arebest for an East-West bust?
The simple answer is side support. Lucky for you, most of our bras have this amazing feature! Fantasie in particular is renowned for its Side Support bra shape. Side support bras have a side sling, the side sling is a piece of fabric on the outside of the cup that creates forward projection.
• Side Support Bras
• Styles with a side sling
Styles to Avoid
Avoid wide styles such as balcony bras, their job is to push the bust upwards, and not necessarily forwards.
Pendulous
Soft tissue with loss of volume
What does "pendulous" mean?
Pendulous breasts tend to lack volume, with the nipple pointing downwards , or lower on your boobs, and can be caused by a few different things including ageing, pregnancy and weight loss. Having pendulous breasts is completely normal and natrual.
What Bras are best for a Pendulous bust?
Getting your "oomph" back is easy when you know which style of bra to wear! One of the best options is a Balcony style. Balcony bras are designed to push your bust upwards, and will make up for any loss of volume, think of a "shelf". The cups are often smaller (balcony bras are sometimes referred to as "half cup bras" this means that there is less cup to fill, so no gaping!
• Balcony Bras
Styles to Avoid
Avoid fuller cup styles, your bust has less volume and a full cup bra will leave you with gaps due to not being able to fill up the cup fully. You may also have trouble filling T-Shirt bras, again, if you don't have enough volume, you will struggle to fill the cups and have an issue with gaping, this is totally down to personal prefrence.
Slender
Narrow with minimal fullness
What does "Slender" mean?
Slender breasts tend to be smaller, with a narrow shape and with minimal fullness.
What bras are best for a Slender bust?
Most styles will work for your bust, especially a Full Cup Bra or a Balcony Bra. The full cup will offer you support, whereas a balcony will help push your bust upwards and offer a bit of "oomph"! Opt for a bra that has some stretch lace in the top cup, this will help mould the bra to your bust shape, and give a flattering fit.
• Full Cup Bra
• Balcony Bra
Styles to Avoid:
Most styles are going to suit you, so we wouldn't necessarily advise you to avoid any particular style, take time to trial and error it with a few different styles and see what works best for your bust, and you'll also discover what style you are most comfortable in.
Bell
Full on the bottom and narrower on the top
What does "Bell" mean?
Bell shaped breasts are fuller on the bottom, whilst being narrower on top. They are best suited to bra styles that lift your bust and give you back that full appearance.
What bras are best for a Bell shaped bust?
If you're looking for lift and shape, a Balcony Bra is going to be your new go to style. Think of a balcony bra like a shelf, but for your boobs. The balcony style props breast tissue upwards, giving a fab rounded shape. A full cup bra is also an amazing option for your bell shaped bust, providing coverage and support, or if you're looking for support with a little extra cleavage on show, a plunge bra is a fantastic option.
- Balcony Bras
- Full Cup Bras
- Plunge Bras
Styles to Avoid
Moulded T-Shirt styles may not work for your bell shaped bust, if your breast tissue doesn't fill the full cup you could be left with some gaping. This is down to personal preference, t-shirt bras generally don't offer as much support as a non-padded one, as non-padded bras are constructed to shape your bust in specific ways, meaning you can tailor your bust to look a certain way.
Side Set
Wide set breasts that are forward facing
What does "side set" mean?
Side set breasts sit wide on your torso, but unlike East-West shapes, wide set boobs are forward facing, full and not pointing out to the side.
What bras are best for a Side Set Bust?
To combat the width of your bust, a Side Support Bra is going to be your new go-tos. Any style with a side sling will also help project your bust forward. A side sling is a feature that is sewed into the cup that projects your bust forward, and the rest of the cup does the job of lifting and supporting your boobs. Side slings are included in most of the styles that we have on offer. Just make sure you check the product discription for details of this.
- Side Support Bras
- Any style with a side sling
Styles to Avoid
Balcony Bras are wider and often don't have any side support, therefore should be avoided if you are looking to bring your bust together. Bra styles without any side support also won't help bring your girls together, such as Moulded T-Shirt Bras.
